Prefab or Bust

Interesting take on the prefab movement or lack of. The author here talks about the realities of prefab and the fact that a majority of the population doesn't want to simply deal with the hassle of obtaining land and experiencing the rigors that are associated with a complex process. They'd rather just have a house shell to work with and fill it with stuff. Honestly its valid. When my wife and I bought land we explored the prefab route even had someone from Dwell Homes (Empyrean) come out to the site. In the end after exploring a variety of different prefab vendors including Dwell, the cost was essentially the same to do a prefab vs. custom architect designed home.
